Terms & Conditions

The conditions under which FAST LOGISTICS quotes, books and performs transport and logistics services.

Last updated: 1 July 2026 · FAST LOGISTICS TRANSPORT & DELIVERY, LDA — Bairro dos Pioneiros, Road Ernesto Vilhena, Door Nr 137, First Floor, Beira, Sofala, Mozambique.

1. Scope

These conditions apply to every quotation, booking and service performed by FAST LOGISTICS unless a signed agreement states otherwise. Where a shipment moves under an international carriage convention or a carrier’s own conditions of carriage, those conditions apply to that leg of the movement.

2. Quotations

Quotations are valid for 14 days unless stated otherwise and are based on the weights, dimensions and commodity description supplied by the client. Rates are subject to revision if the actual cargo differs, or if carriers apply surcharges outside our control such as bunker, security or currency adjustments.

3. Booking and cancellation

A booking is confirmed when FAST LOGISTICS issues a written confirmation with a shipment reference. Cancellations after equipment has been positioned or space has been committed may incur the costs already irrevocably incurred.

4. Client obligations

  • Provide accurate, complete and timely shipment and customs data.
  • Pack and mark goods adequately for the transport mode booked.
  • Declare dangerous, temperature-sensitive or high-value goods before booking.
  • Hold the legal right to export and import the goods concerned.

5. Liability

Our liability is limited in accordance with the conditions applicable to the leg on which the loss or damage occurred, and in any case to the limits permitted by Mozambican law. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, market or production, unless caused by our wilful misconduct.

6. Cargo insurance

Standard liability limits are frequently far below the commercial value of the goods. We therefore recommend cargo insurance, which we can arrange at the time of booking. Insurance is only in place when confirmed by us in writing before departure.

7. Dangerous and prohibited goods

Dangerous goods are accepted only when declared in advance and correctly classified, packed, marked and documented. We do not carry cash, narcotics, weapons, counterfeit goods or any item whose transport is prohibited by Mozambican law or by applicable export-control legislation.

8. Payment

Invoices are payable within the agreed credit term, or before release of the goods where no credit facility exists. We reserve a right of lien and pledge over goods and documents in our possession for all amounts due.

9. Claims

Visible loss or damage must be noted on the delivery receipt at the time of delivery. Concealed damage must be notified in writing without delay and in any event within seven days of delivery. Full supporting documentation must follow within 30 days.

10. Governing law

These conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Mozambique. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Beira, Sofala, without prejudice to any mandatory jurisdiction under an applicable international convention.
